How to use the System Properties page:

The System Properties page is where the details of your draft program are managed. It is crucial to keep these settings up-to-date as this is how the Performance Platform is able to match the data to the specifications of your establishment.

Navigating & Understanding the System Properties Page:

Location

The "Location" section is where you will see your brewery's address. This is purely an informational section. If you need to update the Location section, click here

Work Week & Hours

This is where you will input your brewery's business hours. This is important to update because your sensors will be "on" during your inputted business hours and "off" when your business is designated as closed.

TIP: Save battery life and battery costs by making sure that your business hours match the hours that you are using your kegs, not necessarily when you are open. If you are open until 11PM but you are only serving drinks until 10PM, set your business hours as 10PM so you can save battery life!

  • Click on the circle slider to toggle between open or closed (grey is closed, green is open).
  • Click the down arrow to select the time being sure to note AM and PM.
  • If you hover your mouse over the right of each row, an ellipses will appear, circled to the right. This button will give you the option to copy the information in the selected row to the row above, below, all rows, and to add a block of hours to a day.

Pricing

In this subsection, your business will be able to choose your preferred pricing method as well as pricing percentage. Inputting this information gives the Performance Platform™ important financial data that it will use to help your business determine potential revenue. The pricing methods available to select are: (1) Cost plus Mark-up %; and (2) COGS % of Sales Price.

  • Cost plus Mark-up % is a pricing method that will first consider only product cost and then allow your business to decide the markup that you would like to receive on top of product cost. You can set the markup percentage in the "Select Pricing Percentage" dropdown menu.
  • COGS % of Sales Price is a pricing method that will first have your business determine the COGS (cost of goods sold) of your [keg or pour]. Once this number is calculated (this calculation is done through your businesses accounting and not through Brewlogix), you will then determine how much of your sales price should be COGS. You can set the percentage of your sales price to be COGS in the "Select Pricing Percentage" dropdown menu.

TIP: As a guide, custom typically sets pricing at COGS % of Sales Price: 25%. COGS pricing is generally preferred to cost plus mark-up pricing because COGS is a more detailed method.
